  Amakoro lodge nestles on the foothills of Volcano National Park. The lodge is stunning with beautiful gardens that perfectly frame an extraordinary setting. We stayed in the double lodge allowing us to have shared communal space with the kids. The food and service are better than excellent. The staff were insightful and creative about making everything just perfect for us and the kids without being intrusive.... seriously lots of magical little touches. Evening drinks around the firepit and then dinner outside under fairy light lit trees was truly magical and was the perfect way for us to unwind after three days on the road. It is clear that the lodge are working extensively with the local community and we would strongly recommend talking to the team about the gardens. We were fortunate enough to join them for an hour exploring the gardens and planting trees. Overall - the lodge is very strongly recommended. Coco, the manager, is easily the most thoughtful host I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

  Best place to go have fun and relax. Strongly recommend . Ever since the day I left I've been thinking about going back and the comfort.
