  The vistas and views of the mountains from villa gorilla as we sipped our coffee in the mornin or enjoyed dusk in the evening are incredibly beautiful. Villa gorilla is well situated for gorilla and or golden monkey trekking and only a few minutes drive to the park. Gilbert and his staff are hospitable charming and so welcoming. The food is delicious although I think they could go a bit lighter on the meals but they want to insure you have plenty to eat and are happy. There are bungalows in the back and big rooms too in the main house. Breakfast lunch and dinner are included in the price making it a very budget minded option for the area. Allen, Gilbert's American partner, who is not always on site, but is an African wildlife guide and expert, was helpful via email on tips for other things of interest and he encouraged me to explore the region with its beautiful tea and coffee plantations and to also do the golden monkey tour which is a bit less strenuous than the Gorilla trek and was about $100 for the permit. Gilbert was so kind and helpful and knows the area well - he arranged for dancers to come to the property - as well as took us to a cultural village to learn more about the local life - and even took me to a local school, and local market - I managed to get my boots fixed because of his help. It was just amazing - and I loved taking photos on the drive up into the cool and green verdant mountains. I Gilbert helped arrange the permits and picked us up from and took us back to the airport in Kigali overall it was a magical experience and I hope we will be back someday soon. This was an amazing true African experience.

  The customer service is impeccable. I've not been welcomed more generous hospitality anywhere in the world. The owner, Gilbert, and his staff are run a very special hotel.
