  Amahoro Tours organised our 4x4 transport from Musanze when we went gorilla trekking and when we visited Dian Fossey tomb. We received great service from our drivers and especially from the manager Onesmus, who was very professional and helpful. He even kindly offered us some coffee whilst we waited for the rain to stop when we went to book the transport.

  I stayed several days at the Amahoro guest house over a year ago. Very friendly and low key tour company, prices are perfect for a solo traveler! I usually do not use a tour company, but it's pretty much necessary for the gorilla trek. It's a very local operation, and it doesn't have the feeling of a normal tour company. Ruhengeri (Musanze) is a great place to spend a few days. The city is much quieter and MUCH cheaper than Kigali. From there you can reach Parcs de Volcans, the Twin Lakes, Uganda, Lake Kivu, and Goma, depending on security (I was denied entrance into DRC as they changed the border policy literally that day). Amahoro tours offers numerous private tours as well as custom tours. The guest house was very cheap and clean, and Onesumus, the gentleman who runs the B&B, made it feel like a home away from home. He is also a great cook and took very good care of me while I was sick. It's a clean, safe, and trusworthy operation that's a great relief from the unkempt and pricey lodgings of Kigali.
