::Absolutely stunning location. Looks like a building site. Food very basic but tasty. No hot water. Rooms need some TLC to be up to an appropropriate stand. All a bit of a shame given that wonderful location (which gained them a star over what they might have otherwise got)

::This hotel is in a stunning spot, with its main grassy dining area enjoying panoramic views over the lake and virunga volcano range behind. It's also quiet and peaceful, and well run. Our food (fresh grilled fish and brochettes) was delicious. There are lots of great hiking and biking routes around the twin lakes and this hotel is a great rest point. If you drive to the power planet just across the lake, the hotel will send a boat to collect you, and arrange secure parking for your car.
