  We loved our experience with Kingfisher Journeys!! Communication and booking were quick and hassle free. The paddleboarding experience takes place at the Serena Hotels private beach. They provided life jackets and the instructors were hilarious and made our first time paddleboarding a blast. It was also our first time canoeing (two girls), so we were worried it would be hard. But we had a wonderful guide (Eloi), who taught us the basics and was knowledgeable about the different birds we encountered during our 3 hour canoe trip. Bring the sunscreen with you, a hat would also be nice- the sun is brutal. (To get to musanze from gisenyi, you can take the Ritco bus for 1300 rfr. Steve will organize to have you picked up at the Musanze bus station.) Highly highly recommend this company! They also run 4day kayaking trips to the smaller islands on Lake Kivu- I will have to come back for that :)!
