  Do not buy the East Africa Tourist visa. If you so much as set foot outside the 3 country region immigration will invalidate it and require purchase of a new one. All this with no warning on the government website and despite clear language saying "good for 90 days" and "multiple entry". Rwanda appears to be the only country with this interpretation of the terms. Unless you plan to remain exclusively in the 3 country region you are better off buying another type of Visa.

  I appreciate how the offices have improved and the services like customer service has improved indeed two days back I was there for renewal of my passport and today I got without any more verifications. Given all the information that is needed is provided you will never have any delays on your documents applied.

  Two days and you have your passport! Unless they start asking unnecessary questions like the names and last known location of your great great great great great grand parents. Especially if you're from the diaspora.
