  I did some shopping here before I left Kigali. There are a number of stores here all selling locally made arts and crafts and they're all great if you'd like some memorabilia. I think the prices of the goods sold here are relatively cheaper than if you were to get them in the stores in the town. You also have a whole lotta options. I bought from a store and the seller was really really nice and also gave me an extra gift just to thank me for shopping. :-)

  One of the best places to buy souvenirs in Kigali, always start with the shops up the hill to get better prices

  The go to place for beautiful art. If you are an African art lover bring loads of cash and a good ability to negotiate. I walked away a very happy customer.

  As they are numbered, 47 different craft shops to buy many different locally handmade items for self or gifts. The vendors are very friendly and have a wide selection of crafts in different variations. Their prices are a little steep to begin with but with some haggling you can get some good items.

  The vendors offer a lot of the same things in different versions and colors, and which you could also find almost anywhere. That being said, they’re open to haggling and most are very polite, although one or two were a little pushy with me. I had a very positive experience with one vendor who taught me a little more ki-Rwandan and threw in an extra crafted piece - a handwoven angel - in the Christmas spirit.
