OMG......I’m in HEAVEN. My wife and I were LUCKY to have had the opportunity to stay here last September whilst viewing the mountain gorillas. The resort is simply AMAZING. The work that has gone into this lodge to make it as eco friendly as possible is to be commended. From the recycled plastic thatched reed roof to the joyous time I had in planting my own tree. The rooms are the most comfortable I have had whilst on safari in Africa and the meals and service are of the highest standard. The meet n greet by the staff was most welcome and the hosts Ingrid and Rob make you relax and feel most welcome indeed. It’s only a short drive from the lodge to the Volcanoes National Park thru villages and past schools with adorable kids a plenty. We LOVED our time here so much that we have booked our return in Setptember 2018. 3-4 nights is my preferred stay and if u are up to it do 2 gorilla trips. The staff will do your laundry daily and clean your runners or boots after your gorilla visit and have them back ready to go again in the morning. They will also supply if needed gaiters and a backpack and pack u a lovely lunch and water to take on your hike. ALWAYS HIRE AT LEAST ONE PORTER on your gorilla hike as it helps to support the local villagers AND ITS NOT EXPENSIVE. Hope I’ve been helpful. Regards Glenn Russell

How could this place be anything but 5 stars. Recently built and run by a lovely couple, Ingrid and Rob, the moment you arrive you feel like you are home. The setting is lovely sitting on the hillside right outside Volcanoes National Park. The lodge is beyond amazing and every single one of their staff makes you feel welcome!!! The food is spectacular and the activities are endless. Make sure you get a massage while you are there after a long gorilla trek, you won't regret it. Everything is top notch from the time you get our of your game vehicle to the time you are getting ready to leave (that was the worst part of the trip!).
